Fisher and Paykel Appliances have been an iconic New Zealand company from 1934 when it was established by Sir Woolf Fisher and Maurice Paykel.
They are internationally recognised as the designers and manufacturers of innovative home appliances such as the Smart Drive washing machine and The world leading Dishdrawer.
In 2012, Haier Group bought Fisher & Paykel. Being part of a large global organisation has its benefits and the intention is to see Fisher & Paykel expand more rapidly than previously planned. Fisher & Paykel will continue its development as a global Premium brand within the group's stable. As well as local brand expansion, the focus will continue to be developing the Fisher & Paykel and DCS brands in New Zealand, Australia and North America, as well as boosting our presence in China and India. New Fisher & Paykel products for these markets will continue to be designed in New Zealand, which has been designated as one of the wider Group's five global research and development centres of excellence.
